Instructions
- Sprinkle yeast over the warm milk with one tablespoon of sugar. Cover with a paper towel for about 5min or until yeast is foaming.
- Whisk 1/4 cup melted butter, one egg + one egg yolk, and sugar into the yeast mixture. Add vanilla extract, orange extract, and orange juice.
- After combining the flours and salt, mix into the wet ingredients until a ball of sticky dough forms. Then knead for about five minutes.
- Cover the dough in a bowl with a warm towel on top, and allow it to rise for 1-2 hours.
- After the dough proofs, roll it into a rectangle then spread 1/4 melted butter the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into 10-12 cinnamon buns.
- Place the buns in a 9-inch pie dish or square baking pan, cover and let rise for an additional 45 minutes.
- After the second rise, bake the cinnamon rolls at 350 for 20-30min or until golden brown.
- Immediately after the rolls finish baking, make the frosting or icing and spread over buns. Enjoy!
